Machined 7075 brackets & fittings for a tier-1 aerospace supplier
A family of 7075-T651 brackets, clips and machined fittings for an aerostructures programme, alodine-treated and released with AS9102 first-article reports.
The brief
A tier-1 supplier in Selangor needed a second source for a bracket family with tight true-position callouts, thin-wall sections prone to distortion, and the full AS9102 first-article and traceability package their customer audits against.
What we made
We designed soft-jaw and vacuum fixturing to hold the thin walls without distortion, machined in staged operations with a spring pass on the datums, and ran first articles through a documented AS9102 process. Alodine treatment and material certs are managed on the job traveller; the family is now dual-sourced with us.
